The wall mural is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
In October, the mural was featured on the Capitol grounds with the President’s portrait and his family.
In May, the project received approval from the National Capital Planning Commission and was scheduled to open in mid-December.
The project will also feature the portraits of two senators, one from the Democrat Party and the other from the Republican Party.
The murals have a history dating back to the 1930s, when the Wall Street Journal reported that a wall mural was on the White House grounds that featured President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Vice President Woodrow Wilson, former President Harry S. Truman, and many of his cabinet.
There are no details yet on when the murals will open, but the Capitol has been undergoing renovations in recent years and the new murals are expected to open during the inauguration.
