What we do know: The mural was painted in 2014 on a building in the city of Rochester, New York, near where the city’s first major race car race was held in 1964.
It depicts a group of racers in the cars, some of them dressed in their signature suits and ties.
The group is depicted as wearing blackface, the practice of removing the skin from black people’s faces, in order to make them appear white.
More than a dozen black faces have been removed from the mural.

A mural of a black driver’s car was also painted in the same area.
Race cars have also raced at the track in other cities, including Austin, Texas, and New York City.
But there are more than 1,000 black people on the racetrack.
Rochester is a predominantly white city with a black majority of more than 10%, according to Census Bureau data.
The race has been a hot-button issue for years, as the city grapples with what it means to be a city that is historically and racially diverse.
Racism in America, the nation’s first widely distributed book on the subject, is a complex and complicated subject.
The city has been in the spotlight in recent years, with the election of Trump as president and the protests in recent weeks against police brutality, the treatment of minorities in police departments, and racial tensions in general.
Last week, a group in Rochester painted a mural on a city bus that read, “Trump’s America is dead.”
The billboard in Rochester included an image of a man with a swastika and the words, “TRUMP IS DEAD,” and the slogan, “The American Dream Is Dead.”
The mural in Rochester has become a flashpoint for the ongoing debate over whether or not the race car mural is racist, according to a recent report by the advocacy group The Urban League.
Its creators say the message is about equality, and it was painted with a paintbrush and marker.
The group says the mural is intended to bring awareness to the issue of race and racism in America.
“We think the message that the mural conveys is one of fairness, and one that’s important to us,” said Kevin Kavanagh, one of the group’s organizers.
“This message is meant to bring a little bit of light to the race-related issues that are still prevalent in Rochester.”
In an interview with the Rochester Post-Bulletin, Kavanaghan said the mural was intended to draw attention to a particular race and to bring attention to the problems that affect the community in Rochester.
Kavanagh and his group said they hope to raise money to cover the costs of painting the mural in the future, but have not received any money yet.
Rochelle Miller, who owns a paint shop in the area, said she had no idea that the group had painted the mural and was upset.
She said she’s seen it before, but the message was different.
“This time it’s been so much more explicit,” Miller said.
“The race of the person is more visible, and the person that’s being depicted is black.”
Roches residents have reacted with dismay to the mural’s depiction of black people in the race cars, which has become the latest example of a racially charged display at the city track.
The billboard in the town is a few feet away from a mural of an African American man dressed in a black shirt and a blue tie.
Miller said she thinks the mural needs to be removed and a sign posted in front.
“It just doesn’t make sense to me,” Miller added.
Rochestat should be a safe place to be,” she said.”
Miller said the city should hire a private security company to patrol the track, but she said she has yet to hear of any plans to do so.”
Rochestat should be a safe place to be,” she said.
