Dolly partons murals at the University of Houston, where she worked as a teacher, are coming down.

The Houston Chronicle reports she painted “The Great American Dream” and “The Dolly Martin Show” at the Museum of Natural Science, and “Dolly Partons Greatest Hits” at her home.

The mural on the southeast corner of the UH campus is part of a $1.4 million mural renovation project by UH professor of architecture James K. LeRoy.

Leroy, who died in January, was known for his large, colorful murals in the campus building and for his work in the Houston area.

The murals will be gone by late next year.UH officials say they will make a decision on the mural renovation in the fall.© 2018 KHOU
