WASHINGTON, DC—The owners of a mural in Washington, DC, have been forced to take down the mural that depicts President Donald Trump’s head, after the city’s Board of Paintings deemed the painting to be “disgusting, disgusting and despicable.”

The painting of Trump, which depicts a face with the words “Make America Great Again,” has been widely criticized as racist, sexist and xenophobic, and as a violation of the rights of the LGBTQ community.

In response, the board of the city council has ordered the city to delete the mural from the wall of the Capitol.

The mural was created by artist Ken Haring, who had been painting murals for the Trump administration for more than two decades.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Haring thanked the city for taking action.

“I’m happy to report that the City of Washington, D.C., has issued a cease and desist order against Ken Hares murals, and that we’ve removed the mural,” the artist wrote.

“This is a tremendous victory for everyone who’s worked on this mural, from the people who created it, to the people that have put their lives on the line to the artist himself.

The mural’s owners, however, say the mural is still on display, despite the city order.””

As a result of this action, the mural will now be taken down.”

The mural’s owners, however, say the mural is still on display, despite the city order.

“The mural is not on the wall.

It will remain on the building and will be accessible to the public, in accordance with the city of Washington’s order,” a statement from the Washington, District of Columbia Department of Public Works said in a statement to Breitbart News.

“The mural will remain in the building in the public art program until the board determines that a change is needed to the mural’s status.”

The owners say they were approached by the city in early September after they contacted the city and requested that the mural be removed.

“We had a conversation with the D.D.C. City Hall, and they told us they were considering an order against our mural, and we were told to remove it,” Haring told Breitbart News on Thursday.

Haring said he was approached by City Hall as a private citizen, and after some negotiation he was told that the city had issued a “certificate of noncompliance,” meaning the city was unable to enforce the order.

The mural had been placed in the Capitol grounds for more 20 years, and Haring said the painting was the first one to have been removed by D.E.C.’s Art Commission since it was created in 1968.

“Our mural is the only mural that is on the Capitol and it has been on the same wall since the day it was commissioned,” Hating told Breitbart.

“If they can’t remove it, then it’s not worth continuing to have it in there.”

Haring added that he hopes the mural, which is located in a small part of the grounds, will not be “discriminated against.”

“If it has something to do with a person, or a group of people, or any group of issues, it will be removed,” he said.

“There is a large number of people who are very supportive of the mural and it will remain there until they take that action,” Handing said.

“I hope the city will do the right thing and remove the mural.”

The city said it has no plans to remove the artwork from the building.
